Ticket sales for the Odesa Film Festival have been opened and the screening schedule has been released. The audience will see competition programs, retrospectives and high-profile premieres of world and Ukrainian cinema.
This was reported by the press service of the 16th Odesa International Film Festival.
The Odesa International Film Festival has announced the start of ticket sales for its 16th anniversary event. The event will take place from September 24 to October 4 in Kyiv and will last for 11 days, offering the audience a large-scale program of Ukrainian and world cinema.
The organizers have already presented the screening schedule. The program includes European and National competition sections, retrospectives by Wim Wenders and Carlos Saura, special screenings, Focus on Poland and German Accent. The audience will also see the Gala Premiere, Festival of Festivals, Best of Europe and Human Comedy selections.
Other thematic sections include the Festival of Ukrainian Film Festivals, The Art of Trauma, Odesa Accent, Family Values, All Creatures Big and Small, and Through Friendly Eyes.
Tickets are available online on the festival's website, and you can also purchase a festival pass, which allows you to book seats for premieres in advance and avoid queues.
The organizers promise an exciting cinematic journey: high-profile premieres, meetings with directors, discussions and the discovery of new names in cinema.
The Odesa Film Festival has also introduced new programs that combine current topics, local stories and the best European films. Special attention is paid to ecology, Odesa's cultural heritage and human comedy.
The audience will be able to watch four special programs, which include films from Poland, Iceland, Spain, France, Germany and other countries. Through personal stories, they reveal the themes of love, family and self-discovery, and touch upon universal experiences such as love, loss, the search for home and one's own roots.
