Odesa Emergency Medicine Meeting 2025, a scientific and practical conference dedicated to emergency and disaster medicine, opened at the Odrex Medical House in Odesa on December 12.
The event was organized by Odrex Medical House and the All-Ukrainian Resuscitation Council.
"The All-Ukrainian Council of Resuscitation and Emergency Medical Care is a non-governmental organization that aims to implement international standards to improve the provision of pre-hospital and emergency medical care in Ukraine.
The conference will last for two days. The event was opened by Dmytro Samofalov, Acting Head of the Healthcare Department of the Ministry of Defense, PhD and Major of Medical Service, and Ihor Zbyshko, Chairman of the Board of the All-Ukrainian Council of Resuscitation and Emergency Medical Care.
The meeting was also attended by Odrex Medical Director, Professor of Odesa National Medical University Dmytro Havrychenko .
"This meeting was an opportunity to see how specialists from different fields can unite around a common goal - creating a stronger emergency care system. The participants shared their case studies, discussed what works best in the current war conditions, and discussed how to adapt global protocols to Ukrainian realities. Particular attention was paid to innovations, updating protocols, developing specialized teams, and the need for cross-sectoral cooperation. This conference should become an annual platform where new solutions are born and professional communities are formed," the organizers said.
The central topics of the conference were disaster medicine, management of acute cardiovascular conditions and organization of medical transportation of patients in critical condition.
