Kherson region serves notice of suspicion to head of occupation post office

A woman who headed the illegally created "Central Post Office" in Hola Prystan during the occupation and publicly supported the actions of the aggressor state was served with a notice of suspicion in absentia.

According to the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, she was notified of being suspected under Part 6 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - collaboration.

According to the investigation, the 43-year-old native of Hola Prystan agreed to cooperate with the Russian occupation administration no later than August 2022 and took the position of head of the seized post office.

Investigators found that while in office, the woman participated in the work of an illegally created institution and distributed materials aimed at supporting the occupation authorities.

In particular, during an interview on the territory of the seized post office, she stated that the post office had allegedly "resumed its work," talked about paying pensions in Russian rubles and thanked Russia for "helping the population."

The pre-trial investigation in the case is being conducted by investigators of the Main Department of the National Police in Kherson region.

Recently, a court in absentia sentenced the former"head" of the occupation administration in Skadovsk district of Kherson region to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property for cooperation with Russia.

Earlier, in the Kherson region, a court found a resident of the region guilty of collaboration, who headed an illegal"employment service" in Skadovsk during the occupation.

In addition, Yuriy Skrytskyi, who was a lawyer for the mayor of Kherson , Ihor Kolikhayev, was sentenced in absentia to 11 years in prison for aiding the aggressor state .

Earlier, the Kherson City Court found Andrii Hropianov, a former master of industrial training at the Kherson Professional Lyceum of Communications and Printing, guilty of collaboration and aiding the enemy. In 2022, he headed an educational institution illegally established by the occupiers in occupied Kherson.
