Community leader sentenced to 15 years for coordinating KAB airstrikes on the Kherson region

<span><span><span><span><span><span>A community leader in the Kherson region who coordinated Russian attacks in the area has been sentenced. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison. </span></span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span><span>The Russian agent was exposed in November 2025. The investigation established that the village head of one of the settlements in the Novokakhovka community helped the occupiers coordinate shelling of the right bank of the Kherson region. </span></span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span><span>During the occupation of the region in 2022, he also compiled lists of residents in his community for the Russians to conduct a sham referendum. The village head received a Russian passport from the occupation administration and planned to use it to travel to Russia. After the right bank of the region was liberated, the traitor did not have time to do so. </span></span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span><span>Remaining in his native village, the man posted anti-Ukrainian comments online. He tracked the temporary bases of the Defense Forces and passed this information on to the Russians. To gather intelligence, the agent covertly questioned fellow villagers and visually monitored the movement of Ukrainian military convoys. The traitor enlisted his mother to collaborate with the enemy.</span></span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span><span>SBU counterintelligence officers detained the traitor during an undercover “mission” in the Mykolaiv region. There, he was also supposed to coordinate artillery strikes. During searches, a smartphone containing evidence of his work for the FSB and a Russian passport were found in his possession.</span></span></span></span></span></span>

Earlier, in the Kherson region, an indictment was filed against four local residents accused of conducting business activities in collaboration with the aggressor state. According to the investigation, they ensured the operation of an agricultural enterprise in occupied Kakhovka in accordance with Russian law.
