In the Kherson region, a court found a resident of the region guilty of collaboration, who headed an illegal "employment service" in Skadovsk during the occupation.

According to the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, the woman was sentenced to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property. She was also deprived of the right to hold positions in state authorities, local governments, state and municipal institutions, as well as structures providing public services for 15 years.

Prosecutors proved that in August 2023, the 39-year-old convict, while in occupied Skadovsk, voluntarily headed the so-called "employment service of the population of Kherson region" created by the occupation authorities.

In her position, she formed the staff of the pseudo-institution, approved estimates, coordinated financial documents with the illegal "Ministry of Finance" of the occupation administration, and made personnel decisions regarding employees.

Witnesses in court confirmed that the convicted personally worked with local residents and actually linked employment to obtaining a Russian passport.

The sentence was passed in absentia. The woman will serve her sentence after her arrest.

Recently, Yuriy Skrytskyi, who was a lawyer for the mayor of Kherson, Ihor Kolikhayev, was sentenced in absentia to 11 years in prison for aiding the aggressor state .

Earlier, the Kherson City Court found Andrii Hropianov, a former master of industrial training at the Kherson Professional Lyceum of Communications and Printing, guilty of collaboration and aiding the enemy. In 2022, he headed an educational institution illegally established by the occupiers in occupied Kherson.

The court also sent an indictment against a local resident who held a senior position in the occupation administration. He is accused of collaborative activities - the case will be considered in absentia.
