Yurii Skrytskyi, who was a lawyer for Kherson Mayor Ihor Kolikhaiev, was sentenced in absentia to 11 years in prison for aiding the aggressor state.

According to IRS-Pivden, in 2022, Skrytskyi voluntarily became the "deputy director" of the occupation enterprise Kherson Communal Service, created by the Russians on the basis of the seized KhersonkomunTransService.

The court found that from March to November 2022, the accused headed the legal department of the occupation enterprise and provided legal support for the activities of the invaders. In particular, in July 2022, he allegedly ordered to hand over a Ford minibus, which was on the balance sheet of the utility company, to the Russian Federal Security Service.

After the de-occupation of Kherson, Skrytskyi, according to the investigation, re-registered Kherson Utility Service in Skadovsk under Russian law. One of the witnesses in the case stated that Skrytskyi was actually engaged in legal support of all actions of the occupation administration at the enterprise.

The court found him guilty under Part 1 of Article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - aiding the enemy. In addition to 11 years in prison with confiscation of property, he was banned from holding positions in state and local government for 15 years. The verdict has not yet entered into force.

The journalists also remind that before the invasion, Skrytskyi was associated with several scandals in Kherson. In particular, in early 2022, he was involved in the importation of used buses from Germany into the city, most of which, according to local media, were technically unsuitable and "rotten."

Recently, the Kherson City Court found Andrii Hropianov, a former master of industrial training at the Kherson Professional Lyceum of Communications and Printing, guilty of collaboration and aiding the enemy. In 2022, he headed an educational institution illegally established by the occupiers in occupied Kherson.
