Occupiers struck a market in the Kherson region with a drone: one person was injured

From the morning of September 7 through the morning of September 8, Russian forces attacked the Kherson region with airstrikes, artillery, and drones. As a result of the shelling, one person was killed and 13 others were wounded.

According to Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, at around 10:30 a.m., Russian forces shelled the Dniprovskyi district of Kherson with artillery. A 65-year-old woman who was in her apartment died from her injuries.

Almost simultaneously, around 11:00 a.m., Russian occupiers attacked a market in Darivka with a drone. An 84-year-old man was injured in the strike. He sustained blast trauma and shrapnel wounds to his neck. The victim was taken to the hospital in moderate condition.

In Novovorontsovka, one person was injured as a result of artillery shelling. Eight more residents of Kherson and Darivka were wounded in attacks by Russian drones.

Overall, Russian forces targeted critical and social infrastructure, as well as residential neighborhoods. Five high-rise buildings and 13 private homes were damaged. Damage was also reported to an administrative building, a gas pipeline, a utility structure, agricultural equipment, and private vehicles.

The day before, on September 6, two people were killed and 20 others were injured—including two children—as a result of Russian shelling in the Kherson region. In one of the strikes on Kherson,a familywith two children—a 12-year-old boy, an 11-year-old girl, a 36-year-old woman, and a 39-year-old man—was injured.

Recently, Russian attack drones strucka passenger trainin Chornobaivka, Kherson Oblast. The attack left two people injured and damaged the locomotives.
