Ihor Kopytin's Wealth Discrepancies: Volvo Purchase Raises Questions

Ihor Kopytin, a representative of Mykolaiv region in the Verkhovna Rada, regularly states in his declarations that he lives solely on his salary. However, in 2024, he purchased a Volvo car for more than UAH 1 million, which exceeds his annual income.

This was reported by the Center for Public Investigations.

Compared to the previous year, the MP registered a higher salary, less dollar cash, and more money in his bank account. In particular, in 2024, Ihor Kopytin received UAH 702,278 in MP salary, which is 39 thousand more than in 2023, when his salary amounted to UAH 663,093.

In 2023, Kopytin had cash totaling $101,400, 11,000 euros, and 69,700 hryvnias in his own possession. In addition, his wife had 9,000 euros and 69,700 hryvnias.

In 2024, his cash assets changed as follows:

Ihor Kopytin owns two apartments: one in Mykolaiv and one in Kyiv.

Last April, the MP purchased a Volvo XC90, model 2022, for UAH 1,250,000. This car belongs to his wife. Kopytin also owns a Lexus car, purchased in 2023 for UAH 560,000.

Meanwhile, MP from Mykolaiv region Artem Chornomorov, who declares hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash and luxury watches, received more than a million hryvnias in compensation for rent from the state budget.

Also, MP Oleksandr Pasichnyi, who represents Mykolaiv region in the Verkhovna Rada, published his declaration for 2024. According to the document, he owns several properties, including non-residential premises, apartments and land plots in Mykolaiv.
