Savings in the tens of thousands of dollars, a fleet of commercial vehicles, and no value for most of his assets - the declaration of Voznesensk Mayor Yevhen Velychko raises many questions. At the same time, against the background of the declared salary of 728 thousand hryvnias, the amount of property looks much larger than one would expect.

This was reported by the Center for Public Investigations.

In the document, Velychko listed his family members: his wife Hanna, daughter Bohdana, and son Matviy.

The family's real estate includes two properties with different forms of ownership and use, but their value is not disclosed. In particular, in 2016, the official received ownership of a 20 thousand square meter land plot in the Prybuzka community of Mykolaiv region.

The declaration also includes a 137.7-square-meter residential building in Voznesensk, registered in the name of Alla Velychko. At the same time, this property is used by the entire family - the declarant himself, his wife and children.

The mayor's fleet consists mainly of commercial vehicles purchased over several years. The largest number of purchases occurred in 2017, when he registered four FIAT DOBLO cars of different years of production (2011-2014), including both truck and passenger versions. All of them are privately owned, but their value is not indicated in the declaration.

In 2018-2019, the fleet was replenished with MAN trucks, including TGL 7.150 (made in 2006) and 26.414 (made in 1999). As in previous cases, there is no information on their cost.

The only car with this price is a 2020 TOYOTA RAV-4 HYBRID, purchased in August 2020 for UAH 1 million 188 thousand.

The declaration lists his salary in the Executive Committee of Voznesensk City Council as the key source of income. During the reporting period, he declared UAH 728,752 in cash support, which is the only officially reported income in the document.

For comparison, in his previous declaration, his salary amounted to UAH 687,714. In addition, last year he received 400 thousand hryvnias from the sale of movable property, probably the VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT CC car, which was listed in the declaration for 2023.

The monetary assets section lists cash amounts in different currencies. In particular, USD 74,400 is declared as jointly owned with his wife, compared to USD 78,200 a year earlier. Separately, the declarant himself keeps UAH 327,600 in cash and EUR 7,000. For comparison, last year his cash savings in hryvnia amounted to UAH 267,700.

In February, social media spread information about the death of a woman who was injured in an accident involving the mayor of Voznesensk , Yevhen Velychko. However, this was denied by the Prosecutor's Office of Kropyvnytskyi region.
