Drone hits children: 13-year-old girl dies in Mykolaiv region

In the village of Peresadivka in Mykolaiv region, a Russian attack drone attacked a recreation area near the local cultural center on the evening of March 28. At the time of the attack, teenagers and local residents were there.

According to preliminary data, ten people were injured in the attack, most of them children. Later it became known that a 13-year-old girl died in the hospital.

This was reported by Vitaliy Kim, head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration.

Eyewitnesses say that the attack happened suddenly. Local resident Viktor says that shortly before the explosion he saw children near the house of culture.

"The children were sitting, resting. Then a sharp explosion - and that was it. I was in shock myself," he said.

Natalia Dyachenko-Rostavetska, director of the house of culture, said that the drone fell near the building at about 20:00. The explosion smashed windows and doors and damaged the facade and interior. The local library was also damaged.

Local resident Inna was at home during the attack. According to her, the impact was so strong that the windows were blown out and the door was jammed.

"We ran out - everything was on fire, people were screaming, trying to help the wounded. Then rescuers and police arrived," she recalls.

Law enforcement officers documented the aftermath of the attack and opened a criminal investigation into the war crime.

As of now, the victims are receiving medical care, and information on the extent of the damage is being clarified.

According to Vitaliy Kim, head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Russian troops continued to attack Mykolaiv region with Shahed drones.

In the Voskresenska community, the wreckage of a drone fell on the territory of a recreation area. 10 people were injured, including children. Some of them are in serious condition. Residential buildings, shops and cars were damaged.
