On Wednesday, July 30, members of the Odesa City Council and the Standing Committee on Housing and Communal Services supported a draft decision to increase funding by 50 million for the city's Unbreakable Odesa program.

"Unbreakable Odesa" is a targeted program for 2024-2026 to help restore residential buildings, including those damaged by enemy attacks and shelling. The program accumulates all areas related to the elimination of the consequences of Russian attacks. For this reason, it currently includes measures that are being implemented as part of the programs for the development of housing and amenities for 2022-2026.

At the beginning of its creation, the program was estimated at UAH 307.8 million. Last year, funding for "Unbreakable Odesa" was increased by UAH 50.75 million. In particular, funds were allocated for the installation of protective structures - gabions - to protect critical infrastructure in the energy sector, as well as for work in the buildings on Pastera Street and Novoselskoho Street that were severely damaged in 2023. Thanks to the Program and the funds allocated at the beginning of last year, 6 houses were fully restored in 2024.

The new increase in funding makes it possible to have the necessary reserve of funds in case of Russian attacks on residential buildings and civilian infrastructure.

As a reminder, the Commission for Housing and Communal Services approved amendments to several city target programs of Odesa until 2028.
