A memorial exhibition"Heavenly Legion of Mariupol" dedicated to the fallen defenders of Ukraine was opened in Mykolaiv. The exhibition includes 300 portraits of Azov regiment soldiers and Belarusian volunteers who died in the war against Russian aggression.
According to Suspilne Mykolaiv, the project was initiated by Oleksandr Loginov, the father of the fallen soldier Yevhen Loginov. According to him, the exhibition took about six months to create. In the future, the exhibition is planned to be expanded - eight more families have already expressed a desire to join. Belarusian volunteers have also asked the organizers to immortalize the memory of their comrades.
The organizer emphasizes that the main goal of the exhibition is to remind society of the cost of Ukraine's freedom. A part of the exhibition is dedicated to 26 Belarusian volunteers, some of whom fought in the Azov.
For Alexander Loginov, this project has a special meaning: on the opening day, four years have passed since the death of his son. He admits that while working on the exhibition, it was painful to realize how many young lives were cut short by the war.
The project was implemented with the support of the All-Ukrainian Union of Defenders of Ukraine. About 100 people visited the exhibition on the first day. Visitors say that the exhibition makes them realize more deeply the price of war and the personal stories of the fallen.
The exhibition will run until May 15. You can visit it every day from 11:00 to 17:00, except Sunday and Monday.
Recently, a mural dedicated to Ukrainian soldiers who took part in the battles in the Kherson region and the southern part of Ukraine and gave their lives for Ukraine was created in Odesa. The mural depicts three soldiers of the 39th Separate Marine Brigade - Svyatoslav Aleksapolsky, Vitaliy Nesterenko and Denys Kucherenko.
