A maternity hospital in Mykolaiv has become a perinatal center

Mykolaiv Maternity Hospital No. 3 will be merged with the Mykolaiv Regional Clinical Hospital. Plans are in place to establish a new branch there—the Perinatal Center of the Mykolaiv Regional Clinical Hospital.

The standing committee of the Mykolaiv Regional Council reviewed this matter.

According to a representative of the regional council, the approval of the transfer agreement is the final stage in the reorganization of the maternity hospital through this merger. At the time of the meeting, the document itself was awaiting signatures from members of the reorganization commission, and its finalization was scheduled to be completed in the coming days.

A separate resolution provides for amendments to the charter of the regional clinical hospital. Specifically, the merger will increase its authorized capital and establish legal succession regarding Maternity Hospital No. 3.

Based on this, the location of the new branch will be determined, and the regulations governing the Perinatal Center will be approved. Changes regarding the structure of the new branch and the types of its activities will also be made to the hospital’s charter.

During the meeting, it was also reported that issues remain regarding the repayment of the maternity hospital’s debt for utilities and supplies for the month of May. The plan is to repay this debt using funds from the regional budget and a subsidy from the city budget.

Due to the reorganization, the employment relationship with Oleksandr Ishchenko, director of Maternity Hospital No. 3, is being terminated specifically in his capacity as director. However, he will not be leaving his job—he is scheduled to be transferred to another position and appointed head of a separate structural unit that will operate out of the former maternity hospital.

The commission supported submitting the relevant issues for consideration by the presidium and the 38th extraordinary session of the Mykolaiv Regional Council.
