A special working group to examine the possibility of revising the land tax rate for residents of Vynohradivka village has started working at the Bolhradskyi District Military Administration in Odesa Oblast.
According to the administration's press service, the working group includes representatives of the district state administration, local governments (by agreement), the tax service, the State Geocadastre, financial and legal departments, and community representatives.
During the meeting, they heard appeals from Vynohradivka residents, information on current land tax rates and the procedure for setting them, the legal grounds for possible revision of rates, land cadastral and financial and economic aspects of the issue.
Pavlo Synelnykov, Head of the Financial Department, informed about the practice of setting land tax rates in neighboring territorial communities and the possible impact of changing the rate on the revenue side of the community budget. The Legal Department provided a legal assessment of the powers of local governments in this area and the procedure for making relevant decisions. The information on the normative monetary valuation of the land of the Bolhrad community was also reviewed.
Representatives of the tax service provided explanations on the administration of land tax, the level of its payment and the possibility of applying for benefits in accordance with the current legislation.
Following the first meeting of the working group, a list of additional analytical materials necessary for making an informed decision was determined and tasks were distributed among the members of the working group. The group will work until January 28.
Mayor Sergei Dimitriev left the premises of the Bolgrad City Council under police guard because of a conflict between the village council and residents. Residents of the village of Vynohradivka blocked the exits from the session hall of the Bolhrad City Council on December 25, 2025, after the deputies rejected a proposal to reduce the land tax.
