The Voznesenskaya community held an event dedicated to the Day of Honoring Participants in Combat Operations on the Territory of Other States. The meeting brought together Afghan veterans, their families, government officials and concerned residents to pay tribute to the fallen and thank those who returned.

This was reported by the press service of the Voznesensk City Council!

The participants of the event observed a minute of silence to honor the memory of the fallen soldiers at the memorial to international soldiers. After that, they laid flowers to express their respect for the feat of those who performed military duty outside the country.

Mayor Yevhen Velychko noted that the courage and dedication of the veterans is an example for everyone:
"We remember your feat and thank you for your strength of spirit and civic position. Just like today's defenders of Ukraine, you defended peace and freedom. We bow low for your bravery!"

The Voznesensk Rehabilitation Center is being built by a company that has been featured in several journalistic investigations. The construction contract was signed in 2023, but an additional agreement was drawn up at the end of 2024.

The director of the Voznesenskoye Intercity Bureau of Technical Inventory was detained after receiving a $1,000 bribe.

In October, an agreement was signed in Mykolaiv region to repair the shelter, which had been planned since 2019. More than UAH 19 million was allocated from the budget for the project. The tender was won by a company registered less than a year ago, but this did not prevent its beneficiary from receiving more than UAH 40 million in public procurement.

And in July, a tender worth more than UAH 10 million was awarded in the region to a company that had previously been accused of inflated prices, embezzlement of budget funds and money laundering. All these contracts were awarded to companies owned by the same businessman.
