In 2025, a new support program for micro, small, and medium-sized businesses will be launched by the Danish Refugee Council (DRC) and USAID.

According to the press service of the Kherson Regional State Administration, special attention is paid to the Kherson region, which last year already received significant support under this initiative: 34 companies in the region received grants ranging from $1,000 to $5,000.

The program is aimed at helping businesses that operate legally, have been relocated or affected by the war, but continue to pay taxes. Businesses can use the funds to purchase equipment, restore damaged premises, pay rent (up to 25% of the grant amount) and other needs that are important for their operation.

The grants are available to businesses with more than two years of experience, up to 20 employees, and an annual turnover of up to UAH 9 million. In addition to funding, entrepreneurs can receive up to five hours of business advice on accounting, legal, and marketing issues.

Entrepreneurs who provide services or goods that meet the basic needs of the population or are in demand in the market can apply. Applications are accepted here: Apply.

The program is implemented with the support of the American people through USAID, which makes a significant contribution to the restoration and support of business in the Kherson region.

Earlier, Intent wrote that Ukraine's Ambassador to the United States Oksana Markova, during a meeting with a delegation from Kherson, emphasized the readiness of the US government to provide the necessary support to Kherson region to implement projects to restore energy, water and transportation networks.

The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) also provided Kherson with two new SONAROL SNR 210 tractors . The tractors are equipped with attachments and will be used to eliminate the consequences of shelling, transport materials, and carry out repairs in the city. In early December, Kherson received three trucks and spare parts from Japan worth approximately $766,036.
