The Velyko Oleksandrivska community has launched a large-scale solar energy project. Solar stations are planned to be installed at 11 artesian wells.

This was reported by the Center for Public Investigations, citing data from the Prozorro electronic public procurement system.

The Velyko Oleksandrivka Village Council has announced a tender for the installation of a solar power plant that will provide a stable energy supply for the local community.

The project envisages the purchase and installation of 11 photovoltaic modules with commissioning of 11 artesian wells by the end of April 2025.

The expected cost of the project is UAH 5 million 927 thousand 653.

According to the terms of the procurement, the warranty period for the product is 20 years, and the warranty service is at least one year.

The auction to select the contractor will take place on November 29, 2024.

This project is an important step towards the region's energy independence and the development of renewable energy sources.

This is not the first announcement of the purchase of solar power plants. They tried to hold a tender in October. Three participants submitted their proposals: Krayina-Park LLC, the Association Center for the Implementation of Energy Saving and Innovative Technologies, and Anna Sergienko, a private entrepreneur. But all the proposals were rejected. Despite the fact that the reason for the cancellation of the bidding was the lack of proposals.

In the Dream ecosystem, the project cost was UAH 7.3 million. It was assumed that the installation of solar power plants would improve the quality of water supply and sewerage services, as well as ensure the smooth functioning of critical infrastructure.

According to the project description, it is planned to repair, modernize, and restore water supply (11 wells) and sewerage facilities, as well as other relevant critical infrastructure (heating and electricity systems) for vulnerable categories of community residents, including children. The project will improve the quality of water supply and sanitation services for 5,043 people.

The funding is provided under the UNICEF support program and is part of the State Strategy for Regional Development for 2021-2027.

In addition, Mykolaiv has decided to install solar stations on the roofs of heating stations. This will provide an additional source of clean energy for infrastructure needs. The estimated project budget is over UAH 47 million. The project aims to increase energy efficiency and reduce dependence on traditional energy sources.
