Izmail plans to overhaul water supply system for 18 million

The Izmail Production Department of Water Supply and Sewerage (Vodokanal) has announced a search for a contractor to overhaul the water supply network in the Fortress neighborhood.

An Intent correspondent writes about this with reference to the public procurement website Prozorro.

The customer will allocate just over UAH 18 million for the construction of the facility. These are funds from UNICEF that Izmail will receive as part of the Program Document for Ukraine for the period 2025-2029.

The geography of the works is from the Fortress pumping station (II lift) at 6a Izmailskaya Street to Stantsionnoye Selo within Izmailskaya Street (formerly Fanagoriyskaya Street). The Vodokanal expects the contractor to complete the work by November 30, 2025, i.e. by the beginning of winter.

The technical specification includes the following works: dismantling 170 meters of steel water pipes, dismantling reinforced concrete wells and eight hydrants, excavation and other earthworks, laying 869 meters of 450 mm diameter polyethylene pipes and several small sections of smaller pipes. It also includes drilling a pilot well with a diameter of up to 250 mm and its further expansion. After that, about 90 meters of pipes will be laid to it. It is planned to construct and waterproof wells and install manholes. Separately, the road's asphalt surface will be restored and sidewalks will be tiled.

Theauction to select a contractor is scheduled for May 23.

While we were preparing this text, the customer published a protocol on the cancellation of the procurement, but this is a purely technical issue. It turned out that the documentation was uploaded without an authorized person's electronic signature. Since it is impossible to correct this mistake in the announced tender, we will have to cancel it and announce it anew.
