Two citizens of Ukraine were detained by border guards of the Podilsky detachment near the village of Pavlivka, Rozdilnyansky district, Odesa region, while trying to illegally cross the Transnistrian segment of the Ukrainian-Moldovan border.

This was reported by the press service of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

To realize their plan, residents of Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia regions turned to the administrator of the telegram channel for help. The latter provided remote tips for illegal border crossing. The men transferred USD 6 thousand to the administrator's crypto wallet.

During the detention, the offenders, hearing the border guards' voice requests to stop, ran away. However, warning shots and the use of a sniffer dog Dick stopped them.

Reports on administrative offenses under Part 1 of Article 204-1 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses "Illegal crossing or attempt to illegally cross the state border of Ukraine" were drawn up against the violators. The cases have been forwarded to court.

Also, operatives of the Odesa and Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi border guard detachments detained two men of military age who were trying to illegally cross the state border of Ukraine and their trafficker.

For his illegal services, the organizer set a tariff of USD 7 thousand with an advance payment of USD 2 thousand on a crypto wallet.

To implement the scheme, the offender engaged a 26-year-old resident of Odesa region, who was supposed to meet the clients in Odesa, take them to the border and transfer equipment - an inflatable boat and oars to cross the Kuchurhanskyi estuary.

However, the paddling tour never took place. Border guards detained the fugitives and their carrier before the start.
