UAH 65 billion allocated for modernization of housing and communal services in Mykolaiv

<span><span><span><span><span><span>Over the next five years, Mykolaiv plans to fully restore damaged public facilities and create safe living conditions for residents. This should improve the city's housing and utility infrastructure, which is key to the city's recovery after the war.</span></span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span><span>The decision was made at a session of the Mykolaiv City Council.</span></span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span><span>The Mykolaiv City Council has amended the program for reforming and developing housing and communal services for 2025-2029. The goal is to improve the efficiency of infrastructure maintenance, respond quickly to the consequences of the war and ensure safe living conditions for citizens.</span></span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span><span>The total amount of funding for the Program is over </span></span></span></span></span></span><span><span><span><span><span><span>UAH 65.9 billion</span></span></span></span></span></span><span><span><span><span><span><span>, with the majority of funds coming from the budget of the city's territorial community. The program provides for both planned maintenance of housing and communal services and elimination of the consequences of emergencies caused by the armed aggression of the Russian Federation.</span></span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span><span>According to the plan, over the next five years, all damaged public amenities in the city that need repair should be restored. This will help create safer living conditions and reduce the number of injuries caused by dangerous places. In general, the condition of housing and communal infrastructure will improve, which is especially important for the city as it recovers from the destruction caused by the war.</span></span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span><span>The results of the Program implementation will be monitored by the standing deputy commissions of the city council, in particular, on housing and communal services and budget.</span></span></span></span></span></span>

In 2024, specialized services conducted 67 inspections of residential buildings, carried out routine repairs in 10 buildings, major repairs in 5 buildings, and dismantled one building destroyed by an enemy missile. In total, about 1,300 houses in Mykolaiv were damaged due to Russian aggression.
