Kherson has updated its utility budget for 2026: more than UAH 102 million has been allocated for utilities and the maintenance of the city's pump room. The plan provides financial support for two utility companies and covers new administrative costs.

This is evidenced by an order issued by the head of the Kherson City Military Administration Yaroslav Shanko.

The changes were made to the work plan of the Department of Municipal Economy for 2026. The relevant order provides for the adjustment of expenses within the budget program "Other activities in the field of housing and communal services".

According to the document, several new funding items have been added to the plan. In particular, UAH 225,500 was allocated for the Ecopolis utility company to pay an administrative and economic sanction and penalty in accordance with the decision of the Odesa District Administrative Court of September 26, 2025.

The expenses for the municipal utility company Garantia, which operates the city pump room, have also been clarified. The company will be reimbursed UAH 110.6 thousand for water supply and sewage, UAH 33.6 thousand for electricity, and UAH 2.3 thousand for laboratory water analysis and disinfection.

In addition, the plan provides for UAH 6.8 million in financial support for Ecopolis and over UAH 4.1 million for Garantia.

After the amendments, the total amount of funding for the program for 2026 is more than UAH 102.2 million. The document emphasizes that these funds are provided under the Comprehensive Program for Sustainable Operation of Housing and Communal Services of the Kherson Community.

In February, Kherson determined the responsibility for mobile shelters after an open case. The mobile shelters for civilians were officially transferred to the municipal enterprise "Parks of Kherson" for use. At the end of January, Kherson checked the availability of shelters for civilians during the hostilities. Most of them were found to be closed or with limited access.
