This project also proposes to name the park at the corner of Fontanska Road and Lesia Ukrainka Avenue Lesia Ukrainka Park.

The proposals, as stated in the document, were made on the basis of the Law of Ukraine "On Condemnation and Prohibition of Propaganda of Russian Imperial Policy in Ukraine and Decolonization of Toponymy" and taking into account the recommendations of the Historical and Toponymic Commission under the Executive Committee of the Odesa City Council and taking into account the results of an electronic public discussion held in accordance with the mayor's order in April 2025.

At the same time, the renaming of Kanatny Lane after the Romanian poet Eminescu was not supported by Odesa residents. 169 out of 503 people who took part in the survey voted for the renaming, while 334 voted against it.

Earlier, activists of the NGODecolonization.Ukraine updated their map with the number of streets that they believe should be renamed, reducing their number in Odesa region from 198 to 194. Odesa region continues to rank fifth according to the activists' calculations.
