Rescuers have pulled out the bodies of three children who fell through the ice in the Velyko Oleksandrivska community in Kherson region on February 13. The search operation has been completed.

This was announced by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.

The day before, divers found the bodies of a 9-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl. On February 15, the body of a 13-year-old
boy was also found.

"Please take care of your safety: the ice may seem strong, but even a little carelessness can cost lives," the official said in a statement.

The tragic accident occurred on February 13 in the village of Dovhe, Beryslav district. Four children from the same family - two boys aged 13 and 9 and two girls aged 14 and 12 - were playing on the frozen surface of the Ingulets River. However, the ice was too thin to hold and all of them ended up in the water.

A 16-year-old girl who was nearby saw this. Without hesitation, she rushed to help, but also fell through the ice. A local resident came running to the scene and managed to save the 16-year-old girl and the 12-year-old child.

Rescuers once again urge people not to go out on the ice, as the current weather makes it extremely dangerous. Parents are asked to warn their children about the deadly threat posed by frozen water.

And in Odesa region, in Bolhrad district, a 19-year-old partner of a 36-year-old woman severely beat her child. The three-year-old boy was taken to the hospital in an unconscious state, but he could not be saved.

Earlier, in Odesa, a 2.5-month-old girl was hospitalized in intensive care after being severely beaten by her own father. The man also beat his two-year-old son. Earlier, a 13-year-old girl died in one of the educational institutions of the Prymorskyi district of Odesa. It happened during the air raid alarm.
