In Bolhradsky district, a 19-year-old partner of a 36-year-old woman severely beat her child. The three-year-old boy was taken to the hospital in an unconscious state, but she could not be saved.

This was reported by the press service of the National Police in Odesa region.

As investigators found out, in the morning the boy's mother went to work, leaving him under the supervision of older children. When the boy woke up and felt sick, the older children told his mother, who called an ambulance. However, doctors were unable to save the child.

At first, the mother's partner claimed that the boy had lost consciousness due to a nosebleed. However, the investigation revealed that the man had beaten the child because he was crying.

Preliminary data from the forensic medical examination indicate that the boy died of internal bleeding caused by injuries to internal organs and rib fractures.

The police noted that the detainee faces up to 15 years in prison or life in prison for this crime.

The investigation is ongoing under the supervision of the Bolgrad District Prosecutor's Office.
