Five members of an organized group accused of "nationalizing" property in favor of the occupation authorities for more than UAH 100 million will be tried in Kherson region.

According to the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, an indictment has been sent to the court on the facts of collaboration and aiding the aggressor state.

According to the investigation, in April 2022, one of the defendants headed the "Property Fund" of the so-called military-civilian administration of the region, created by the occupiers. In this position, he and his accomplices organized a scheme to seize property.

The group also included the "head of the security service" of the occupation administration, a local businessman and two other participants who performed the functions of inventorying and registering the seized property.

The investigation found that the group members found and seized vehicles belonging to enterprises, institutions and organizations in the region under the guise of "ownerless" property. In particular, these included vehicles of car dealers, private companies, and even property of the National Police of Ukraine.

Some of the seized vehicles were transported to the left bank of the region. There, it was registered as "fund property" and transferred to the occupation authorities.

The total amount of damage, according to law enforcement, exceeds UAH 100 million.

The pre-trial investigation was conducted by police investigators. The defendants are charged with collaboration and aiding the aggressor state.

As Intent previously reported, stolen grain from Kherson region was sold to Syria.

Earlier, in November 2025, another collaborator, Yevhen Balytskyi, who was appointed by the occupation authorities as the "head" of a part of Zaporizhzhia region, was sentenced to life imprisonment in absentia.

He was also found guilty of organizing the illegal export of Ukrainian grain from the temporarily occupied territories.
