The AMCU punishes conspirators at the port tender in Odesa region

A conspiracy was uncovered during the procurement of components for the Izmail seaport in Odesa region. The companies were fined more than UAH 2 million.

This was reported by the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine.

We are talking about TRANSMORSERVICE LLC and GRADIENT SV LLC, which coordinated their actions during the bidding process in 2023 for the purchase of sleepers, terminals, overlays, substrates, and other materials. These companies exchanged information and agreed with each other to eliminate competition and influence the bidding results.

The AMCU stated that both companies were fined a total of over UAH 2.3 million for violating the legislation on protection of economic competition.

In addition, according to the law on public procurement, companies that commit such anticompetitive concerted actions may be suspended from bidding for three years.

Meanwhile, the State Enterprise Izmail Commercial Sea Port has started searching for a contractor to upgrade the metal structures of five portal cranes by the end of 2025. We are talking about two Condor cranes, two Falcons and an Albatross. The port is ready to allocate up to UAH 5 million 962 thousand for their repair. The period allotted to the contractor to upgrade each unit is 25-30 days, depending on the scope of work.

In January 2025, the port of Izmail found a contractor to repair the Condor portal crane for 15.6 million. It was the Odesa-based company Remtekhmorport. And in early May, the port selected Odesa-based Odyssey UA LLC, founded by Tetyana Cherednichenko from Mykolaiv region, as the supplier of a whole list of spare parts for portal cranes. The contract was worth UAH 7 million 725 thousand.
