TCC assistant who sent a cyclist to the hospital detained in Odesa

Police have detained a 19-year-old man who pushed a cyclist on Bazarna Street in the center of Odesa and fled the scene.

This was reported to Intent by the Main Directorate of the National Police in Odesa Oblast.

The video shows the detainee getting out of a minibus and pushing a man on a bicycle, causing him to hit his head on the fence and not be able to get up. The attacker and another person in black civilian clothes who came out after him get back on the bus and disappear from the scene.

Social media claimed that the detainee was on the bus with the military of the Prymorskyi District Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support.

The cyclist was reported to have suffered multiple fractures of the ribs, shoulder blade, femur, as well as a bruised lung and pneumothorax as a result of the fall. He was taken to the hospital in serious condition. The Odesa Regional TCC and JV did not comment on the incident.

Earlier, the Security Service of Ukraine opened a criminal investigation into the obstruction of the activities of employees of the territorial center for recruitment and social support at the 7 Kilometer market in Odesa on October 30.

During mobilization activities in Odesa, a group of civilians attacked the TSC's employees near the 7 km industrial market, using tear gas and turning over a vehicle.

The investigation concluded that the incident qualifies under Article 114-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - obstructing the activities of the TCC. Depending on the part of the article, the defendants face a sentence of 5 to 8 years in prison or 8 to 15 years.
