Strike in Odesa damages Polish consulate

As a result of the Russian attack on Odesa on the night of January 13, the Polish consulate was damaged.

This was reported by the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland , Maciej Wierzur.

According to him, none of the consulate staff was injured.

"We have great respect for the entire team of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland working in Ukraine," he added.

Earlier, military and political observer Oleksandr Kovalenko said that as a result of the Russian attack on Odesa on the night of January 13, the building housing the office of the UN humanitarian mission was damaged. He emphasized that the UN mission in Odesa deals exclusively with humanitarian issues, so a deliberate attack cannot be justified in any way.

On the night of January 13, an enemy attack damaged two power facilities of DTEK Odesa Power Grids, an electricity distribution operator in Odesa. According to the Air Force Command, on the night of January 13, the enemy attacked Ukraine with 18 Iskander-M ballistic missiles, S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles, seven Iskander-K missiles, as well as 293 Shahed, Gerbera, and other types of attack drones. According to preliminary data, as of 9:30 a.m., air defense neutralized 247 targets: two Iskander-M ballistic missiles, five Iskander-K cruise missiles, and 240 enemy Shahed, Gerbera, and other types of drones. However, hits by ballistic and anti-aircraft missiles and 48 attack UAVs were recorded at 24 locations.

In Odesa, 45 apartments in eight buildings were also damaged. 245 windows in apartments and front doors were smashed. 31 balcony units and entrance doors were damaged.

As a result of two waves of hostile attacks at night in the central part of Odesa, residential buildings and social facilities were damaged: a hospital, a kindergarten and a school. Six residents are known to have been injured. The facades and glazing of six nearby apartment buildings and a kindergarten, as well as two garages and nine cars were damaged. Psychologists of the State Emergency Service provided assistance to 14 people, including one child.
