Russian occupation forces once again attacked Ukraine at night, launching several groups of UAVs from different directions. Some of them headed for Mykolaiv region.

According to the press service of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, on the night of February 22, four Shahed 131/136 drones were destroyed by air defense forces and means over the region.

"In general, no shelling was recorded on the territory of the region," the statement said.

The Air Force informed that during the night, the Russian invaders attacked Ukraine with 162 Shahed-type attack drones and various types of imitation drones.

The drones were launched from Orel, Bryansk, Kursk, Millerovo, and Prymorsko-Akhtarsk.

As of 08:00, 82 Shahed attack UAVs and other types of drones were confirmed downed in Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipro regions. Another 75 enemy imitator drones were lost locally (without negative consequences).

On February 16, an extraordinary commission was convened in Mykolaiv to show the consequences of the night attack. More than a hundred thousand people in Mykolaiv were left without heating as a result of a Russian "shahed" attack on the city's critical infrastructure.

A day earlier, on February 15, a fire broke out on the territory of an agricultural enterprise in Mykolaiv district due to the fall of UAV debris, which was quickly extinguished. The blast wave also damaged a private house, an educational institution, a boiler house, a water treatment plant, an administrative building and an outpatient clinic. There were no casualties.

On the night of February 14, air defense forces in Mykolaiv region destroyed seven enemy drones. During the day, the occupiers shelled the Kutsurubska and Ochakivska communities with artillery and FPV drones, damaging buildings.
