The occupying army has intensified attacks on Kherson and Mykolaiv regions, striking residential areas and critical infrastructure with drones, artillery and aircraft. The shelling has resulted in deaths, dozens of wounded and significant damage.
This was reported by Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration.
Over the past day, Antonivka, Beryslav, Bilozerka, Veletynske, Vesele, Vysoke, Havrylivka, Dniprovske, Dudchany, Zelenivka, Kizomys, Kozatske, Kostyrka, Lvov, Mykilske, Monastyrske, Molodizhne, Novooleksandrivka, Novokaira, Osokorivka, Poniativka, Prydniprovske, Republican, Sablukivka, Stanislav, Tyahynka, Chervonyi Mayak, Shyroka Balka, Shlyakhove, and Kherson itself.
Russian troops shelled residential areas and critical infrastructure. A multi-story building, 12 private houses and several cars were damaged.
One person was killed and two others were injured as a result of the hostile attacks.
On April 8-9, Russian troops massively shelled Kherson region, with more than two dozen settlements coming under heavy fire and air strikes. The occupiers deliberately hit residential areas, damaging a high-rise building, at least 15 private houses, outbuildings and cars.
Four civilians were injured as a result of the shelling. Every day the Russian army turns the villages and towns of the region into a frontline zone. On April 7, an 85-year-old man sustained mine-blast trauma and shrapnel wounds - he was hospitalized in moderate condition.
On the evening of April 5, Mykolaiv was attacked by Shahed 131/136 kamikaze drones. Debris and a blast wave caused two fires in the private sector, which were quickly extinguished. 13 private houses and a car were damaged.
In March, the Kherson community lost 17 civilians and another 168 people were injured. In February, 13 residents died and 113 were injured. In January, 16 people were killed and 154 were injured. Since the beginning of 2025, the Russian army has fired more than 2,500 times at the Kherson city community.
