In the Prydniprovskyi sector, Russian troops intensified their attempts to storm the positions of the Defense Forces near Antonivskyi Bridge. On March 28, the enemy made two assaults near the suburbs of Kherson.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the military, both attacks were repelled and the Russian units failed to succeed.

In total, 236 combat engagements were recorded at the front over the past day, indicating a high intensity of hostilities in various sectors.

At the same time, analysts at the Institute for War Studies note that Russian troops continue limited ground attacks east of Kherson, particularly in the area of Antonivskyi Bridge, but without making any progress.

According to the available information, units of the 98th Airborne Division of the Russian Federation are operating in this area and are involved in assault operations.

The situation in the Kherson region remains tense as the enemy keeps trying to break through the Ukrainian defense, but the Ukrainian military is holding its ground.

Earlier, Intent wrote that since the beginning of the year, the Russian occupiers have significantly intensified their attacks on Kherson. During this time, the city has already experienced about 1300 attacks from cannon and rocket artillery.

Earlier, the British newspaper The Times published an article about Kherson, in which it pointed out that the city, which once celebrated the liberation from Russian occupation, has now become a test field for modern methods of warfare. Russian troops have turned Kherson into an arena of terror, where drones have become the main weapon of intimidation and destruction of civilians.

Intent also wrote about how the Russian army carried out a series of targeted strikes on a civilian medical facility in the Dniprovsky district of Kherson. The enemy attacked the territory of one of the local hospitals three times using unmanned aerial vehicles.
