Russian attack on Mykolaiv damages infrastructure, injures 64-year-old

The enemy attacked Mykolaiv, causing damage to critical infrastructure, residential buildings, shops and offices. A man was wounded in the attack.

On the night of February 16, Russian troops launched a massive attack on the city. The enemy attack caused damage to a critical facility, which started a fire. Rescuers quickly eliminated the fire.

The blast wave and falling debris damaged five high-rise buildings, as well as four shops, a catering facility, and office space. A 64-year-old man was injured and hospitalized. His condition is currently assessed as satisfactory.

Despite the attack, the air defense forces acted effectively - nine Shahed 131/136 drones were shot down over the Mykolaiv region.

On February 15, a fire broke out on the territory of an agricultural enterprise in Mykolaiv district due to the fall of UAV wreckage, which was quickly extinguished. The blast wave also damaged a private house, an educational institution, a boiler house, a water treatment plant, an administrative building and an outpatient clinic. There were no casualties.

In general, the enemy carries out massive attacks at night.

Thus, on the night of February 14, the air defense forces destroyed seven Shahed 131/136 drones over the Mykolaiv region. The day before, on February 13, Russian troops shelled the Kutsurubska community with artillery and attacked three times with FPV drones, damaging a residential building in Dmytrivka and a non-residential building in Solonchaky. On the night of February 13, the air defense shot down eight more Shahed 131/136s.

On February 12, in the afternoon, the enemy sent an X-35 cruise missile to the region, which lost its combat capability over open territory, and at night two more drones were shot down. In Mykolaiv district, the debris hit an infrastructure facility, causing a fire, and the blast wave damaged warehouses.
