The historic gate in Mykolaiv will be restored, as it is in a state of disrepair. They are an architectural monument of local importance. Mykolaiv authorities have already signed a contract with a contractor to develop a restoration project.
According to the Center for Public Investigations, the paperwork was estimated at almost 500 thousand hryvnias.
The customer was the Department of Housing and Communal Services of the Mykolaiv City Council. The procurement was conducted without the use of an electronic system, meaning that it was decided not to hold a tender, and the contractor was chosen without competition.
On October 14, the contract was signed with Himargo-Consulting Research Center LLC.
The contractor must prepare the design and estimate documentation for the restoration of the historic gate by March 5, 2025.
It is about repairing the gate on Kropyvnytskoho Street (formerly known as Potemkinska Street), located between Mariupolska and Soborna Streets. This building is an architectural monument of local significance and is listed in the State Register of Immovable Monuments of Ukraine as a residential building of the 40s and 50s of the XX century. The gate is currently in disrepair.
According to the YouControl service, Himargo-Consulting Research Center LLC was registered in 2009 in Pivdenoukrainsk (formerly Yuzhnoukrainsk). The director is Viktor Soroka.
In August, Mykolaiv City Council approved amendments to the City's Social and Economic Development Program. In particular, the project to restore the entrance portal on Kropyvnytskoho Street, formerly Potemkinska Street, was added to the list of investment objects of the Housing and Utilities Department.
The landmark is assigned to a historic residential building at 13 Mariupolska Street. The large gate was damaged by traffic and is in a state of disrepair, with stones falling from it, creating a hazard.
Since it is a cultural monument, we decided to develop a reconstruction or restoration project to estimate the cost of the work and determine further actions. The place is popularly called the "fish yard". The city council unanimously approved the decision to support this project to preserve the historic site in the city center.
There are 338 cultural heritage sites in Mykolaiv. About 30 of them were damaged as a result of Russian aggression.
