President appoints new head of Novokakhovka MBA

The Novokakhovka city military administration has a new head. Prior to his appointment, Oleh Tarabaka was the head of a utility company and first deputy mayor.

The relevant order was signed by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The President of Ukraine has appointed Oleh Tarabaka as the head of the Novokakhovka City Military Administration of the Kakhovka district of Kherson region. Previously, this position was held by Valeriy Brusensky, who was dismissed under the same order No. 107/2025-rp of August 28, 2025.

According to media reports, prior to his appointment, the official was in charge of the Novokakhovka municipal enterprise Avtotsentr and was also the first deputy mayor of Nova Kakhovka. In his previous role, he was responsible for transportation, agriculture, urban planning, architecture, healthcare, and administrative services. During 2021-2025, Tarabaka filed declarations as the first deputy mayor, and before being appointed to his current position, he served as the first deputy head of the Novokakhovka MVA.

In August, there were also personnel changes in the Kherson regional administration. The former head of the Shipping Administration, Yevhen Ihnatenko, was appointed deputy head of the Kherson Regional State Administration, a decision made by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on August 20.

In addition, the Kherson regional police has a new assistant chief, Denys Bordak, a veteran of the Luty assault brigade, known as Kas. He will be responsible for supporting veterans, wounded soldiers and families of the deceased, as well as developing veteran policy. He took part in combat operations in Donetsk region from the first days of the unit's creation.

In early June, the President appointed Yaroslav Shanko as the head of the Kherson City Military Administration of the Kherson district. His predecessor, Roman Mrochko, who had headed the administration since March 2023, was dismissed in April 2025. Before joining the Kherson MMA, Mrochko had extensive experience in the military prosecutor's office and the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
