A woman from the Kherson region will stand trial for running a preschool during the occupation

<span><span><span><span><span><span>An indictment has been filed against a resident of the Kherson region who headed a preschool education institution illegally established by the occupying authorities. The woman is suspected of facilitating the implementation of Russian educational programs and organizing the educational process according to the standards of the aggressor state.</span></span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span><span>This was reported by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office. </span></span></span></span></span></span>

According to<span><span><span><span><span><span>the case file, a resident of the village of Kyselivka voluntarily began managing Preschool No. 24 in the city of Kherson no later than July 2022; this institution was established by the occupying administration on the premises of a seized Ukrainian preschool. In this illegal position, she performed organizational, managerial, administrative, and operational functions, ensuring the facility’s operations complied with the rules and standards of the occupying authorities.</span></span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span><span>In particular, she organized the recruitment of teaching and technical staff, encouraged employees to join the illegally established institution, ensured that documentation was maintained in Russian, and oversaw the replacement of Ukrainian textbooks and symbols with Russian ones. She also facilitated the implementation of Russian educational programs and the organization of the educational process according to the standards of the aggressor state.</span></span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span><span>Earlier, a computer science teacher from Beryslav, in the Kherson region, was charged. She will stand trial for collaboration. During the occupation of the city, the woman agreed to head a local educational institution and implemented the educational process according to Russian curricula. </span></span></span></span></span></span>She held a general staff meeting where she announced an “order” regarding her “appointment” and urged people to cooperate with the occupying authorities.

The Security Service of Ukraine also announced that a man has been charged with taking the position of the so-called head of the “Opora Rossii” agricultural committee for the Kherson region in occupied Kherson Oblast. He is accused of collaboration and justifying Russia’s armed aggression.
