Parents in TOT of Kherson region pay for non-existent lunches for children

In the temporarily occupied territories (TOT) of the Kherson region, the invaders have introduced a scheme to siphon off money under the guise of paying for school meals. Despite regular payments by parents, children are actually left without food.

This was reported by the Center of National Resistance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The occupation administration has forced parents to register with Russian online services and make regular payments for lunches, but in fact, children remain hungry throughout the school day. The system created by the invaders works only on paper and serves only to create the illusion of order and improvement according to Russian standards.

The situation is critical, as not only high school students, but also junior high school students are left without food. Despite the systematic debiting of funds from accounts, hot meals are often not provided at all in educational institutions or exist only in the reports of collaborators. As a result, parents find themselves in a hopeless situation: they are forced to pay for the service not provided through the imposed system in order not to be included in the "unreliable" lists, and at the same time collect rations for their children so that they do not go hungry.

The SLC emphasizes that this so-called reform is another corrupt scheme to collect money, which has nothing to do with actually meeting the needs of children, but only demonstrates the inability of the occupiers to organize even basic social processes.

Earlier, a pilot digital project was launched in Mykolaiv region to strengthen control over the quality of food in educational institutions. The main goal of the experiment is to transfer the monitoring of school canteens to a transparent online format, which will allow for prompt monitoring of compliance with sanitary norms and menu standards.

Thanks to the introduction of digital tools, information on the state of nutrition will be updated in real time. This will help not only control the quality of products and the cooking process, but also provide quick feedback between school administrations, education authorities and the parent community.
