On the occasion of the Builder's Day, statistics reported a rapid increase in housing construction in Odesa region - in the first quarter of 2025, the region ranked 4th in Ukraine. The lion's share of new housing was built in Odesa district.
This is evidenced by the data of the Main Department of Statistics in Odesa region.
On the occasion of the Builders' Day, analysts published indicators of construction activity in Odesa region for the first quarter of 2025. Thus, during this period, 199.3 thousand square meters of housing were commissioned in the region, which is 8.7% of the total volume in the country. According to this indicator, the region ranks 4th in Ukraine, behind only Kyiv region, the capital and Lviv region.
According to the infographic, in January-March 2025, the growth rate of the total area of housing commissioned in Odesa region reached 174.1% compared to the corresponding period of 2024. According to analysts, this is the highest figure over the past year, indicating a revival in construction activity in the region.
The vast majority of newly constructed housing - 75% - is in the form of apartment buildings. Single-family homes account for 25% of the total area commissioned in the first quarter.

The absolute leader in terms of housing commissioning in the region is Odesa district, where 190.9 thousand m² were commissioned, which is almost 96% of the regional figure.
In the last quarter of 2025, the cost per square meter of housing in the Odesa region increased by 14%. This was reported on the air of Intent.Insight by Yuriy Motuz, director of the development company Zezman Holding of the Odesa agglomeration. According to the expert, the market shows positive dynamics despite security challenges.
In the first three months of 2025, residents of Odesa region paid UAH 243 million in real estate tax, which ranked the region 4th in Ukraine. In general, revenues from this tax in the country increased by 17.7% and amounted to UAH 2.6 billion.
