At night, Russians hit a dormitory in Odesa, killing people

A Russian unmanned aerial vehicle hit a residential area in Odesa on the night of April 11, killing two people.

This was reported by the head of the Odesa City Military Administration, Oleh Lysak.

According to him, two more victims are in hospital, where they are being provided with all necessary assistance.

The civilian infrastructure suffered significant damage: dozens of private and apartment buildings, a dormitory, and a kindergarten building. Windows were smashed, roofs and facades were damaged. Catering facilities were damaged. Infrastructure facilities also came under attack.

Utilities have been working at all locations since nightfall. The specialists closed the damaged windows, patched roofs and cleared the areas of debris and residues. A mobile operational headquarters was deployed to help the affected residents with the paperwork to receive assistance from the city budget and compensation under the eRestoration program.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on the night of April 11, the Russian army attacked Ukraine with 160 Shahed, Gerbera, Italmash, and other types of unmanned aerial vehicles. According to preliminary data, as of 8:00 a.m., air defense defenses neutralized 133 enemy Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other types of drones in the north, south, and east of the country. However, 20 strike drones were recorded at 10 locations, and the downed drones fell (wreckage) at 11 locations.

On the night of April 10, Odesa region again suffered a massive attack by enemy unmanned aerial vehicles on energy and port infrastructure. The damage led to disruptions in power supply. Empty tanks and port equipment were also damaged. There were no casualties. The fires have been localized. All emergency services are working at the scene. The consequences are being recorded and eliminated.
