Odesa port plans to reconstruct a berth for 540 million

The Odesa port is preparing to reconstruct berth 7 for almost UAH 540 million. The winner of the multimillion-dollar contract will be announced at the end of August.

The Odesa branch of the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA) has announced an open tender for the reconstruction of berth 7 at the Odesa seaport. The procurement involves adjustments to the project already developed in 2024, and the expected cost of the work is over UAH 539 million.

The tender was announced on August 12, 2025. Proposals from participants will be accepted until August 28, and the auction is scheduled for August 29. The minimum price reduction step for bidders is 1%, or UAH 5.39 million.

The procuring entity does not require a bid security, but the winning bidder is obliged to pay a cash deposit of 5% of the contract amount as a guarantee of contract performance. The deposit is to be refunded after full and proper performance of the work or in case of early termination of the contract without violations by the contractor.

According to the documentation, the repairs should be completed by December 31, 2027. The payment is to be made in several stages: up to 30% of the cost is to be paid in advance through documentary letters of credit (divided into three stages of up to 10% each), and the rest is to be paid after signing the completion certificates and certificates of value.

According to the tender documentation, the reconstruction of berth 7 involves dismantling old elements, installing tubular piles for crane rails and an unloading platform, erecting monolithic structures, arranging stormwater drainage, filling in ballast and laying pavement. The company also plans to install bumpers and wheel chippers, lay railroad and crane tracks, and install an electrochemical protection system.

In July, a company building the Kyiv metro won a tender to repair a car overpass in Odesa. This structure is part of the port infrastructure and is important for the port's logistics, and the cost of the work was over UAH 30 million. Avtostrada Group was the sole bidder and winner of the tender.
