Police have exposed four underage residents of Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, Odesa region, who set off an explosion in the entrance of a high-rise building.

As explained by the press service of the Main Department of the National Police in Odesa Oblast, the other day, during Internet monitoring, police found a video in one of the messenger groups in which four teenagers mixed household chemicals in a bottle in the entrance of a high-rise building and threw it onto the stairwell, after which it exploded.

After registering this information, juvenile inspectors of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi District Police Department identified the boys and tracked them down. The police found out that the 12-year-old local friends had repeated the experiment they had seen on one of the social networks for fun.

"These families had never been on the radar of law enforcement before. We warned the boys about the inadmissibility of such pranks, and reminded their parents of their duty to raise their sons and control where, with whom and how they spend their free time," commented Pavlo Bobchynskyi, head of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi District Police Department.

According to him, law enforcement officers drew up protocols against the adults under Part 1 of Article 184 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses. And now the parents face a fine of up to UAH 1.7 thousand. Administrative materials have been sent to court.

Earlier, the Vinnytsia City Court found a 17-year-old native of the village of Shabo, Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district, Odesa region, guilty of sabotage and sentenced him to five years in prison without confiscation of property.

In March, an explosion at a police building in Odesa region killed a woman and injured three police officers.
