Odesa has started looking for a contractor to cut and remove hazardous trees in the city's cemeteries. For this, it will receive almost UAH 1 million from the budget.

This was reported by the Center for Public Investigations.

As noted in the Prozorro electronic procurement system, the customer of the work was the Specialized Utility Company.

According to the tender documentation, 57 trees are to be removed. Of these, 44 are located at the Second Christian Cemetery on Lustdorf Road, nine at the Trinity Cemetery in Lenselishche, and four more at the cemetery on Biblioteka Street. The works are to be completed by the end of the year.

Participants can submit their proposals until November 23, and two days later the winner will be selected in the format of an open tender with special conditions.

Open bidding with special conditions means that almost all terms are shorter than in open bidding under the Public Procurement Law. This means that this procurement is much faster than open tenders.

The period for submitting proposals is seven calendar days, and the period for challenging qualifications is five calendar days.

The contractor to be selected must complete the work by the end of 2024.

A company owned by Prince Khachatryan, a deputy of the Odesa Regional Council from the banned OPFL, signed an agreement to repair the road to the cemetery in one of the villages of Berezovsky district. Berezivkaagroshlyakhbud LLC was registered in Berezivka on Parkova Street in 2003. The owner of the company is Khachatryan Knyaz Arshaluysovych.

Meanwhile, the city of Yuzhnoukrainsk, Mykolaiv region, is considering the possibility of allocating more than 20 hectares to create a new city cemetery.
