The Prymorskyi District Court of Odesa has found an employee of the Municipal Guard utility company from Chornomorsk guilty of obstructing the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations.
This is evidenced by the court' s verdict.
The man was sentenced to 5 years in prison, but his sentence was suspended for two years. The court identified the defendant's sincere remorse as a mitigating circumstance, and also took into account the fact that he had three minor children as dependents.
The convict several times used his phone to disseminate information about the location of mobile checkpoints of military personnel of territorial centers of recruitment and social support.
Earlier, law enforcement officers detained in Odesa a serviceman of the district territorial center for recruitment and social support who received a bribe for removing a client from the wanted list.
The 29-year-old soldier of one of Odesa's district recruitment and social support centers was spreading information among his friends that in return for a monetary reward he could influence his colleagues and help men liable for military service to avoid mobilization into the Armed Forces.
The police also registered in the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations information about the beating of the son of journalist Victoria Koltunova in Odesa. Earlier, the Odesa Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support announced the creation of a special commission to conduct an official inspection following a statement by writer and journalist Viktoria Koltunova about the beating of her son by the TSC staff.
Odesa-based journalist and writer Victoria Koltunova claimed that military personnel from one of the territorial centers for recruitment and social support grabbed her son on the streets of Odesa, took him out of town, and severely beat him, demanding money.
