The Bailiffs' Service has entered into the State Register of Real Property Rights data on two plots in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea that were illegally owned by a Russian citizen.
This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.
In September 2024, the Prymorskyi District Court of Odesa upheld the claim of the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea to confiscate land from a Russian citizen in favor of the state. It concerns two agricultural land plots with a total area of more than 3.6 hectares located in the Nyzhnohirsky district of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
It was established that the defendant received them on the basis of certificates of inheritance. In accordance with the requirements of the Land Code of Ukraine, agricultural land inherited by foreigners and stateless persons is subject to alienation within a year. However, the Russian citizen failed to fulfill this obligation.
Earlier, an entrepreneur from Podilskyi district of Odesa region was sentenced to one year in prison, which was immediately replaced by a probationary period of one year for unauthorized occupation of a land plot in a protected zone. By his actions, the offender caused material damage to the community in the amount of over UAH 347 thousand. At the request of the police, the court seized the land with crops.
In May, the Tarutino District Court of Odesa Oblast found a Sarata native guilty of illegal appropriation of the surface layer of water fund lands on a particularly large scale and fined him UAH 17,000. The man illegally dug a pond near the Chiligider River and filled it with its waters.
A farmer from Izmail district in Odesa region was also accused of unauthorized seizure of a land plot near Lake Katlabukh. The agronomist was interested in the land plot. He decided to cultivate and plant it without having any permits for the land.
