Occupants shell Kherson region and wound five people

Over the past day, Russian troops attacked more than three dozen settlements in the Kherson region.

This was reported by the Kherson Regional Military Administration in a morning report.

As a result of the shelling, five civilians sustained injuries of varying severity. The city of Kherson, as well as Antonivka, Zelenivka, Prydniprovske, Komyshany, Pryozerne, Bilozerka, Stanislav, Kizomys, Oleksandrivka, Sofiyivka, Tomyna Balka, Shyroka Balka were under drone terror, air and artillery strikes, Blahovishchenske, Novodmytrivka, Velytenske, Dniprovske, Rozlyv, Mykilske, Beryslav, Mylove, Kachkarivka, Zolota Balka, Rakivka, Novoraysk, Bilyayivka, Burgunka, Novooleksandrivka, Odradokamyanka, Republican, Tokarivka, Tomaryne, Tyahyntsi and Vesele.

Russian troops targeted residential areas, as well as critical and social infrastructure. Two multi-story buildings and eight private houses were damaged as a result of the attacks. Destructions of outbuildings, garages and cars were also recorded.

After the full-scale invasion of Russia, the population of Kherson district decreased by almost three times. According to the head of the Kherson District State Administration, Mykhailo Zhadan, as of September 2025, 24,730 people live in the district, while before the war this figure reached about 67,000.

"That is, almost 5,000 people left during the same period last year, from September 1, 2024, compared to 2025. A lot of people left," the official said.

Inhulets suffered the most: after a series of air strikes that began on September 13, the number of residents decreased from 800 to 531. Between September 13 and 24, 2025, about 300 people left the Dariivka community, and the evacuation continues.

Zhadan noted that the intensity of shelling of the coastal areas of Kherson district in 2025 almost doubled compared to last year, and the hottest spots were Kherson, Bilozerska, Stanislavska and Dar'yevska communities.
