Mykolaiv Plans ₴33.1M Reconstruction of Heroiv Ukrayiny Park for Modern Urban Space

Mykolaiv has planned a large-scale reconstruction project for a public garden located on Heroiv Ukrayiny Avenue. The initiative is aimed at creating a modern, comfortable, and safe space for residents and visitors to relax.

This was reported by the Center for Public Investigations with reference to the DREAM ecosystem.

It is planned to reconstruct the park located along residential buildings No. 17 and 19 on Heroiv Ukrayiny Avenue in Mykolaiv.

The project covers a comprehensive modernization of the park, which includes:

International cooperation is an important component of the reconstruction. The concept of the park was developed by French architect Martin Duplantier, known for his innovative urban solutions. The city authorities signed a memorandum of cooperation with him to adapt the project to European urban planning standards.

The total cost of the reconstruction is estimated at UAH 33.1 million. The project is currently in preparation, but funding has not yet been confirmed.

According to the project description, the reconstruction of the park will not only improve the appearance of the area, but will also contribute to the development of urban space, improve the quality of life of residents, attract tourists, and hold cultural events.

This project is part of a large-scale strategy to upgrade the city's infrastructure, which aims to make Mykolaiv more comfortable and attractive for living and recreation.

Mykolaiv also plans to reconstruct the Sailing Square, updating its infrastructure, greening the area, and creating modern areas for recreation and cultural events. The cost of the project is estimated at UAH 19 million, and its implementation is aimed at improving the urban environment and increasing the city's tourist attractiveness.

In addition, a large-scale reconstruction of Taras Shevchenko Park is planned in Mykolaiv. More than UAH 20 million is allocated for the project. The space will be renovated in accordance with modern standards to create a comfortable, functional, and attractive area for recreation and cultural life of the city's residents.
