Mykolaiv Plans ₴19M Sailing Park Reconstruction for Tourism Boost

Mykolaiv has planned to reconstruct the Sailing Park, which will include infrastructure upgrades, landscaping and the creation of modern areas for recreation and cultural events. The project, worth UAH 19 million, is aimed at improving the quality of the urban environment and increasing the city's tourist attractiveness.

This was reported by the Center for Public Investigations with reference to the DREAM system.

It is planned to reconstruct the Sailing Park, which aims to create a comfortable and modern space for recreation, cultural events and public initiatives. The project envisages a comprehensive renovation of the territory and improvement of its functionality, which will contribute to the development of the urban environment and attract tourists.

The total cost of the work is UAH 19 million. The project is organized by the Department of Housing and Communal Services of the Mykolaiv City Council, and the balance holder of the facility is the Mykolaiv Parks utility company.

According to the project description, the reconstruction of Vitylnyi Square is not only about improving the appearance of the territory, but also about creating a new cultural and social center of the city. The restoration of the park will contribute to the development of urban infrastructure, increase the level of comfort for residents and visitors, and attract investors and tourists. The project will last for 12 months. The project is in the implementation status and requires funding.

Mykolaiv is also planning a large-scale reconstruction and improvement of Taras Shevchenko Park, which is expected to attract more than UAH 20 million. The project involves creating a modern, comfortable and functional public space that will become the center of the city's cultural life. It is planned to upgrade the paths, install new benches, lighting, landscaping and recreation areas.

In addition, the park infrastructure is also planned to be upgraded in Ochakiv. The 2027 Recovery and Development Plan for the Ochakiv City Territorial Community includes reconstruction of the local park, construction of new fountains and improvement of landscaping. UAH 15 million is expected to be raised to implement these works. The city authorities emphasize that the renovated park will become a comfortable place for citizens and tourists to relax, and will also contribute to the development of Ochakiv's tourist attractiveness.
