The NABU and the SAPO have served a notice of suspicion to the current MP of Ukraine Iryna Kormyshkina of entering false information in her e-declaration.

This was reported by the press service of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine.

The MP from the Servant of the People party was served a notice of suspicion for submitting false information in her e-declaration. Law enforcement officers did not specify the specific name of the suspect, but the details provided make it clear that it is Iryna Kormyshkina.

According to the investigation, this MP is already a suspect in the case of illegal enrichment. In 2021-2022, she acquired assets worth more than UAH 20 million, although her official income and savings during this period amounted to no more than UAH 2.7 million.

Among the purchases is a house in Odesa region, which the MP did not indicate in her declaration. Also, in her declaration for 2023, she did not indicate two land plots that were in her use.

The suspect's actions were classified under Part 2 of Art. 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - declaring false information. Under this article, she faces a fine, or community service, or restriction/imprisonment for up to 2 years, with disqualification to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to 3 years.

Recently, the Anti-Corruption Court extended the MP's duties. On December 18, 2024, an investigating judge of the High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) extended the term of office for MP Iryna Kormyshkina, suspected of illicit enrichment, for another two months at the request of the NABU and the SAPO.

In October, the MP accused of corruption was released on bail. On October 23, 2024, an investigating judge of the High Anti-Corruption Court imposed a measure of restraint in the form of a personal guarantee on the MP suspected of illicit enrichment. The guarantors were the head of the Verkhovna Rada faction , David Arakhamia , and the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Vitaliy Kim.

According to Kim, he has known the MP for more than twenty years, when she was still working in the insurance business. Iryna Kormyshkina went to receive a suspicion, she did not hide her savings, and the investigation should sort everything out.

Former deputy of the Mykolaiv Regional Council Yuriy Kormyshkin claimed that his wife had only declared the inheritance she had received from her late father, who was "a very influential person in Mykolaiv region."

On October 17, the NABU and the SAPO served a notice of suspicion to a current MP from Mykolaiv in a case of illicit enrichment worth over UAH 20 million. She currently faces up to 10 years in prison. According to preliminary data, she received gifts worth more than UAH 20 million, including a valuable Swiss watch and significant cash gifts from her father, whose official income did not allow such generosity.
