Iryna Kormyshkina, a member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine from Mykolaiv, was released on bail. Two officials acted as guarantors.

This was reported by the press service of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office.

On October 23, 2024, an investigating judge of the High Anti-Corruption Court imposed a measure of restraint in the form of personal guarantee on the MP suspected of illicit enrichment. The guarantors were the head of the Verkhovna Rada faction , David Arakhamia , and the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Vitaliy Kim.

The suspect is obliged to fulfill certain procedural obligations: to notify the investigator, prosecutor or court of any change of place of residence or work, to hand over her passports to the state authorities and to refrain from communicating with persons designated by the court. The period for fulfilling these obligations is two months.

The issue of appealing against the preventive measure will be considered after reviewing the full text of the court decision.

Recently, law enforcement agencies served a notice of suspicion to the current MP Iryna Kormyshkina in the case of illegal enrichment. She currently faces up to 10 years in prison.

The pre-trial investigation established that in 2021-2022, the MP acquired assets worth more than UAH 20 million, which exceeds her official income. She used these funds to buy a house near Odesa. On October 16, 2024, she was notified of being suspected under Article 368-5 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The investigation is currently ongoing.

Former deputy of the Mykolaiv Regional Council Yurii Kormyshkin responded to the suspicion of illicit enrichment brought by the NABU and the SAPO against his wife, current MP Iryna.

Kormyshkin claims that his wife only declared the inheritance she received from her late father, who was "a very influential person in Mykolaiv region." He also noted that the situation is being used for "information hype", which complicates his wife's life and work.

The MP's official income was about UAH 2.7 million. At the same time, she used this money to buy a house near Odesa, where she now lives. She also owns half of a 63-square-meter apartment in Mykolaiv, a 321.8-square-meter house, a land plot in the village of Lymana, and another 965-square-meter plot in the regional center.

In the summer, Iryna Kormyshkina , a member of the Servant of the People party, sold property worth UAH 7.3 million. The day before, her husband, latifundist Yuriy Kormyshkin, resigned as a deputy of the Mykolaiv Regional Council.

She also became one of the top five richest MPs, earning UAH 123.5 million in 2023. In 2023, Iryna Kormyshkina purchased a land plot in the village of Kalynivka, Mykolaiv region, with an area of 920 thousand square meters. The purchase cost her UAH 5 million 142 thousand.
