Mykolaiv Land Auction Sets Record with ₴2.1 Million Bid

The land plot in Mykolaiv region became the most expensive lot at the Land Bank auction. The auction brought over UAH 100 million to the state budget from the agricultural sector.

According to the State Property Fund, 23 auctions were held over five days, bringing the total amount of transactions to UAH 92.6 million. The bidders submitted 84 offers, and the starting price of the lots increased 5.5 times during the bidding process.

The average sublease price per hectare reached UAH 18,522. The total area of land plots put up for auction amounted to 5001.8 hectares. Plots in Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Lviv, Kyiv and Mykolaiv regions were of the greatest interest.

In particular, on February 21, an auction was held for another UAH 8.2 million. Farmers were offered 7 land plots in Zhytomyr and Mykolaiv regions with a total area of 636.54 hectares. During the auctions, participants submitted 27 offers, and the starting price of UAH 1.7 million increased 4.7 times. The average cost of subleasing one hectare was UAH 12,951.

The most expensive lot was a 98.94-hectare plot in Mykolaiv region. Three bidders actively competed for the sublease, raising the starting price by 6.5 times. The winner offered UAH 2.1 million, which set a record price per hectare at UAH 21,730.

Between February 17 and 21, a total of 5,638.34 hectares of land in Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Lviv, Kyiv and Mykolaiv regions were put up for sale.

During this time, 30 online auctions were held. The total amount of transactions amounted to UAH 92.6 million, and including VAT - UAH 111.1 million.

As of today, 166 land plots with a total area of almost 20 thousand hectares in 13 regions of Ukraine are available for sublease under theLand Bankproject. Mykolaiv region offers 53 land plots with a total area of 9,567.96 hectares, and Odesa region offers 1 land plot with an area of 12.72 hectares.

Last December, the Land Bank auctioned three land plots in Mykolaiv region with a total area of 1,321 hectares. The most expensive was a plot of 1120.66 hectares located in the Vilnozaportia community. The first auctions for the sublease of state land in Mykolaiv region started in November 2024. Back then, 142 plots with a total area of about 20 thousand hectares were put up for sale.

At the same time, the Ukrainian Nature Conservation Group warned of a threat to protected lands due to the auction. Environmentalists examined the plots in Odesa and Mykolaiv regions and found that a significant portion of them are natural areas such as meadows, steppes, and forests, not arable land.
