MPs' company starts repairing sewer for 200 million in Odesa

The contractor's employees have begun work on the overhaul of the offshore part of the Novoarkadiyskyi stormwater collector in Odesa.

According to the mayor's office, the existing collector will first be cleared of sand and debris in the area between the bicycle and pedestrian alley and the artificial beach Arcadia, between traverses No. 1 and No. 2 of the second stage of landslide protection structures (former True man beach complex). Then the works will be moved to the beach area, closer to the coastline.

In order to ensure safe working conditions and avoid dangerous situations for vacationers, injuries, etc., the contractor will fence off a part of the beach area with a construction fence. Construction materials will be delivered and garbage removed at night, including during the curfew.

According to the contract with the contractor, the scheduled completion date is December 31, 2026. However, weather conditions permitting, the contractor plans to complete the work by the end of May 2026.

The contractor for this repair is Rostdorstroy Limited Liability Company, which was the sole bidder in June 2025. The company expects to spend UAH 221 million 695.8 thousand.

According to the YouControl service, the ultimate beneficiaries of Rostdorstroy LLC are currently Yurii Shumacher, a deputy of the Odesa City Council and a representative of Hennadii Trukhanov's Trust the Deeds party, and businessman Yevhen Konovalov.

In 2021, the company already won the right to repair this collector. Back then, the works were estimated at UAH 123 million 167 thousand. An agreement was signed with the company, which was later terminated by mutual agreement.

In February 2019, the Capital Construction Department of the Odesa City Council held an auction to select a company to pay for the overhaul of the Novoarkadiyskyi collector on the section from 36 Genoese Street to 11 Champagne Lane. After the second step of the auction, the most favorable offer was recognized as that of Rostdorstroy LLC, which agreed to work for UAH 115 million 670.9 thousand.
